Meet Ardelis!
(Meaning industrious in Greek, but of course.)

She's the product of Aphrodite and Hephaestus, and of my boredom.
...aaaand I needed an excuse to come up with something for a deviation.

AND LOOKIT THOSE FEET.
THEY'RE ACTUALLY ALMOST NOT CRAPPY.

VICTORRRRY~ :iconvictoryscreechplz:

Ardelis is the twenty-one year old daughter of Hephaestus and Aphrodite. Though not faithful (like most of the legends suggest the gods and goddesses were), Aphrodite did have a child with Hephaestus. She was born with weak legs, and was refused by her mother and seen as a wretched attachment to the lame smith, so she was banished from Olympus and sent to live on earth with her father. Zeus stripped her of her immortality, but at the plea of Phaestus (not wanting to watch her burn out as quickly as a human before his eyes), he granted her a long life.
While growing up, Ardelis began to show 'Hephaestus Hands', and when she was old enough she took up helping her father make weapons and armor for the gods.
Having had fared well on her mother's side of the gene pool, Ardelis grew up rather beautiful. She attracted the attention of a young Morpheus, whom could see her beauty under all of the grime and dirt that she usually wore.
Once he heard her speak of her desire to know what Olympus was like to her father, and, wanting to impress and please the blacksmith's daughter, the smitten Morpheus convinced his brothers to help him and came to her in secret and granted her dreams of Olympus.
Ardelis, guessing that it was one of the gods of dreams, felt that she should thank them. After all, it wasn't wise to take something from the gods without thanking them.
So, she called out to them and, hearing that she was pleased, the delighted Morpheus eagerly showed himself to her and told her that he was responsible for the dreams. She thanked him and asked what she could do to repay him, and of course he told her she only need give him a kiss. Ardelis complied, and Morpheus was over-joyed. This was only one of his various visits, of course.
But, the brother's had been watching in disgust for some time and were not only jealous; but outraged by Morpheus taking all of the credit and not repaying them for their help. They shouldn't have been helping him sneak behind Zeus' back in the first place!
On one visit, Phobetor and Phantasus showed themselves, and told Morpheus that they were going to tell Zeus of his meddling with the banished Ardelis. Morpheus begged them not to tell, and finally the two brothers agreed not to. But, only if he swore he would not meet with Ardelis again.
Sad and full of contempt for his brothers, Morpheus promised that he would not see her again.
Grieved, the two said their good-byes and departed from each other.

Ardelis is your basic scrapped-together character.
And she's probably not going to be a recurring character, as I just doodled this for fun and I'm not sure if I want to go ahead and introduce the other characters I had in mind.
I thought about making a series type of thing >_>

...And that is the last time I ever write anything even remotely close to a love story -.-

ANY QUESTIONS?

Ardelis (c) me and my unimaginative mind.
